Graff Diamonds Hallucination Watch – Priced at $55 Million

The $55 million watch by the famed designers at Graff Diamonds made the Hallucination Watch. They reported that this watch took over a thousand hours to create and required 110 carats.

This watch has been termed a sculptural masterpiece by many and it is made by encasing a platinum quartz watch in yellow, pink, blue, gray and orange diamonds.

1963 Ferrari 250 GTO – Priced at $70 Million

The Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari made a new record when its 1963 model GTO sold for $70 million. It was bought by Chicago’s David MacNeil, the CEO of WeatherTech. CNN reported that this was extremely rare. This is because any owner of the car would not part with it no matter what the offered price was.

This is solely because of the rarity of the car. Only 39 were ever built and the others are owned by the rich and famous like – Ralph Lauren, Nick Mason the drummer of the famous band pink Floyd, and the British Tycoon Lord Anthony Bamford.

Bluefin Tuna – Priced at 3.1 Million

Since a lot of people have been increasing their tuna intake for health reasons, it has been rising in price. This is because, now tuna has officially been declared a threatened species. Despite that, this single fish can end up costing up to 3.1 million dollars which makes it the most expensive sushi in the world.

A sushi restaurant owner, Kiyosho Kimura payed the price for the fish and bought it from Japan’s Toyosu markets.

Antila, Mumbai – Priced at $2 Billion

This house has been declared worth 2 billion American dollars. It is a 400,000 square foot behemoth owned by the richest man in India. Mukesh Ambani, business tycoon and owner of Reliance, got this house made to enjoy with his wife and three kids. It has twenty-seven floors of space and is named after the Atlantic island Antila.

It has a garage large enough for 168 cars, a temple, a spa, a two-story recreational room, a theater and various gardens and guest suites. This makes it one of the most expensive things in the world.

Parking Spot in Manhattan – Priced at $1 Million

Since Manhattan is already one of those cities without any space, it doesn’t have enough parking spots for the number of cars that enter the city. In the time between 1978 and 2010, it had lost over 25,000 off-street parking spaces.

This made it harder for people to find parking which increases the demand for parking spaces. Private parking spaces are now a luxury in New York and just in 2015, 3 parking spots were sold for a million dollars each.

Salvatore Mundi by Leonardo da Vinci – Priced at $450 Million

Baber bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan al-Saud, a Saudi Prince bought the Salvatore Mundi by Leonardo da Vinci. This is the only da Vinci painting to be sold for such an extravagant price to a private owner.

The last time it was sold was in 1958 at $60 million. Recently in 2017, the painting was bought by the prince who shocked everyone with his bid. It was due for a premiere at Louvre Abu Dhabi, but unfortunately, it has been missing since then. The prince doesn’t seem too concerned about it.

Website Domain CarInsurance.com – Priced at $49.7 Million

While this may be extremely shocking to most readers, it is true that website domains are hardly ever sold cheap. CarInsurance.com was recently sold by GoDaddy, a domain hosting service based in the New York Stock Exchange.

It stated that it was sold for 49.7 million dollars and website domains are sold every day for similar prices.

Neiman Marcus Fighter Limited Edition Motorcycle – Priced at $11 Million

Motorcycles are often something people think of as expensive when they hear about brands like Harley Davidson, but this Neiman Marcus Fighter was a limited-edition motorcycle. Only 45 of these have ever been made with a carbon fiber and titanium body. This bike can report reach 190 mph without any trouble.

It was initially sold for $110,000. But now things changed and enthusiast were after this piece of powerful hardware. This caused its price to rise and it recently sold for a whopping 11 million dollars.

Graff Diamond Wittelsbach – Priced at $80 million

Another mention of this London based designer in this list, the Wittelsbach was made by using the famed Kohinoor diamond. Graff Diamond’s Lawrence Graff won the diamond at an auction for 24 million dollars. This 35.36 carat diamond was originally found in India and then sold to the Spaniard King – Philip IV.

Graff was unhappy with 25 flaws present in the diamond and he recut it to a 31.06 carat diamond. These flaws were caused by changes in the diamond’s home over the past 360 years.

HeintzmanCrystal Piano – Priced at 3.22 Million

This is a world-famous piano and was recently sold at an auction for 3.22 million. Prior to its retirement, it was used to entertain the world during the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

This piano may look too beautiful to function, but it does and it is used to make music in the home of an anonymous owner.

Pasion Azteca, Platinum Liquor Bottle by Tequila Ley – Priced at 3.5 Million

This is the world’s most expensive and strongest tequila. Pasion Azteca costs 3.5 million dollars because of its platinum and white gold bottle which is covered in 6,500 diamonds. This tequila is just four years aged and has not been sold yet.

Jumbo T206 Honus Wagner Baseball Card – Priced at 3.12 Million

This baseball card sold at a world record price of 3.12 million dollars. This card of “Jumbo” Honus Wagner was from the American Tobacco Company (ATC) T206 series. An anonymous seller had bought it for $2.1 million and later sold it for over $3.12 million after 3 years.

This baseball card probably turned out to be a great investment and it has been so well demanded since only 3 of them are in proper shape. Moreover, Wagner later had asked to be removed from the series because of the tobacco affiliation.

Now, anyone with a billion dollars to spare could simply buy these most expensive things in the world. But their real value comes from the demands of the consumers who cannot afford them but still want them. This high demand is what makes the items so precious and worthy of owning. When people buy them, they do so to flaunt them and not to use them for their functionality.
