What are the advantages of using stainless steel wire for your Construction business?

Steel is a common part of the construction process and has been used for many years to ensure buildings are strong and durable.

In fact, steel serves many different purposes in construction. One of the most important is the use of steel wire. Steel wire is formed by joining individual wire strands together in helically-laid patterns, meaning that they are twisted around a central core. This provides maximum strength and protection. Every piece of steel wire will be given a direction, this simply refers to the direction that the wires circle the core.

The most commonly used wire ropes have 7 strand central cores, you can then get a circle of wire around this that is just 1 wire deep, that’s 1x 19, nineteen is the number of strands wrapped around the core. This is a common choice for push-pull or pull-pull controls.

You can also get 7 x 7, which is bundles of 7 strands, each with seven wires in the core and 19 around them.

This is less flexible than the 1 x 19option but it is stronger and a great choice for general construction. You can even use this with pulleys to maximize the range of movement possible.

The third most popular choice is 7 x 19 where there are 7 wires grouped together, each with 7 wires inside them. This is the most flexible but has the least strength? However, it is slimmer and a great option for pulleys and other similar uses.

Of course, the strength of these cables really relies on getting quality and reliable push-pull cable casing.

Steel wires are essential in construction for moving parts and to provide strength to concrete construction, the steel wire can ensure the concrete sits in the right position and provides additional strength to the build.

Unfortunately, concrete is made with water and the steel will absorb this, all you need is the smallest of air gaps and all the ingredients for rust are together, steel, water, and air.

For this reason, it’s a good idea to use stainless steel wire, it won’t rust like ordinary steel, is just as strong, and will last for much longer.

Of course, stainless steel costs a little more but in the long-term, there is an economic saving as the building will remain strong. Ordinary steel starts to rust, removing the moisture from the concrete and causes concrete cancer.

Stainless steel is also especially resistant to high temperatures. This makes it a great addition to any building project, regardless of the climate you live in.

Stainless steel wire is stronger than steel wire but also retains its flexibility, allowing you to design odd shapes into your building with a stainless steel wire frame and a concrete finish.

It’s incredibly adaptable and, because it is not going to need replacing in 10, 20, or even 50 years, it’s actually an environmentally friendly solution to your building problems. It should help buildings stand the test of time and the worst weather that can be thrown at them.
